Corrine Zahra

Corrine Zahra is a creative nonfiction writer from Manhattan, New York and Gozo, Malta. She graduated from the MA in the Humanities program at the University of Chicago where she specialized in creative nonfiction writing. She is the co-founder & co-editor of the only Gozitan contemporary literary journal Mgħawġin, offering Gozitan writers the space to have their voices heard. She is a writer tutor within the University of Chicago's writing program, as well as an English Instructor at Malcolm X College. Corrine's writing has been featured in THINK Magazine, Lovin Malta, Times of Malta, antae: a journal of creative writing and Sliced Bread. She also published two YA novels with FARAXA Publishing in 2014 & 2016.

Corrine Zahra es una creativa escritora de no-ficción originaria de Manhattan, Nueva York y de Gozo, Malta. Se graduó de la maestría en Humanidades de la Universidad de Chicago, donde se especializó en literatura de no-ficción. Es cofundadora y coeditora de Mgħawġin, la única revista literaria contemporánea de Gozo, que ofrece a los escritores gozitanos un espacio para que sus voces sean escuchadas. Es tutora del programa de escritura de la Universidad de Chicago, así como profesora de inglés en el Malcolm X College.
