Mauricio López F.

Mauricio López F. an interdisciplinary artist from Santiago, Chile, based in Chicago. Emerging from Chile’s experimental punk scene, he studied Musical Composition at Escuela Moderna de Música and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Aesthetics from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. He received a merit scholarship study at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and recently completed his MFA. López F. has been recognized by the Foundation for Contemporary Arts, Arts Club of Chicago, and was named a Newcity 2026 Breakout Artist. His artist residencies include Chicago Artists Coalition, Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts, and Monira Foundation. His work has been presented across the Americas, Europe, and Asia.

Mauricio López F. es un artista interdisciplinario de Santiago de Chile radicado en Chicago. Surgido de la escena punk experimental chilena, estudió Composición Musical en la Escuela Moderna de Música y obtuvo la licenciatura en Estética en la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Recibió una beca por mérito para estudiar en la School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC), donde recientemente completó su maestría en Bellas Artes (MFA). López F. ha sido reconocido por la Foundation for Contemporary Arts y el Arts Club of Chicago, y fue nombrado "Breakout Artist" en 2026 por la revista Newcity. Sus residencias artísticas incluyen la Chicago Artists Coalition, el Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts y la Monira Foundation. Su obra se ha presentado en América, Europa y Asia.
