Aram Han Sifuentes

Aram Han Sifuentes is a fiber and social practice artist who creates participatory projects around themes of protest, voting rights, citizenship, and immigrant justice. Solo exhibitions of her work have been presented at the Jane Addams Hull-House Museum (Chicago), Hyde Park Art Center (Chicago), Chicago Cultural Center (Chicago), Pulitzer Arts Foundation (St. Louis), moCa Cleveland (Cleveland), and Skirball Cultural Center (Los Angeles). Aram has received numerous awards including a 3Arts Award, 3Arts Next Level Award, Map Fund, Joyce Award, and Smithsonian Artist Research Fellowship. She is currently an adjunct professor at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

Aram Han Sifuentes es una artista textil y de práctica social que crea proyectos participativos en torno a temas como la protesta, el derecho al voto, la ciudadanía y la justicia para  inmigrantes. Ha presentado exposiciones individuales en el Museo Jane Addams Hull-House (Chicago), el Centro de Arte de Hyde Park (Chicago), el Centro Cultural de Chicago (Chicago), la Fundación Pulitzer de las Artes (San Luis, Misuri), el moCa Cleveland (Cleveland) y el Centro Cultural Skirball (Los Ángeles). Aram ha recibido numerosos premios, entre ellos el Premio 3Arts, el Premio 3Arts Next Level, el Premio Map Fund, el Premio Joyce y la Beca de Investigación Artística Smithsonian. Actualmente es profesora adjunta en la Escuela del Instituto de Arte de Chicago.
