Robin Myers

Robin Myers is a poet, essayist, and translator. Recent translations from Spanish include The Book of Explanations by Tedi López Mills (Deep Vellum), The Dream of Every Cell by Maricela Guerrero (Cardboard House Press), Copy by Dolores Dorantes (Wave Books), Tonight: The Great Earthquake (PANK Books), Another Life by Daniel Lipara (Eulalia Books, 2021), The Science of Departures by Adalber Salas Hernández (Kenning Editions, 2021), The Animal Days by Keila Vall de la Ville (Katakana Editores), Cars on Fire by Mónica Ramón Ríos (Open Letter Books, 2020), and The Restless Dead by Cristina Rivera Garza (Vanderbilt University Press, 2020). Other translations have appeared in Granta, The Baffler, Kenyon Review, The Common, Harvard Review, Two Lines, Waxwing, Words Without Borders, and elsewhere. She was a winner of the 2019 Poems in Translation Contest (Words Without Borders/Academy of American Poets). Robin’s own books of poetry—Lo Demás / Else, Amalgama / Conflations, and Tener / Having—have been published as bilingual English/Spanish editions in Mexico, Argentina, Spain, and Chile. Her poems have appeared or are forthcoming in Poetry London, The Drift, Cortland Review, Yale Review, Poetry Northwest, Massachusetts Review, and elsewhere; one was selected for inclusion in Best American Poetry 2022. She lives in Mexico City and is represented by Akin Akinwumi of the Willenfield Literary Agency.
