Daniel Borzutzky

Daniel Borzutzky is the author of 2021 Lit & Luz Book Club selection Written After a Massacre in the Year 2018 (Coffee House Press), along with several other poetry collections, including The Book of Interfering Bodies; In the Murmurs of the Rotten Carcass Economy; The Performance of Becoming Human, winner of the 2016 National Book Award; and Lake Michigan, a finalist for the 2019 Griffin International Poetry Prize. His translation of Galo Ghigliotto’s Valdivia received the National Translation Award. He has also translated books by Chilean poets Raúl Zurita and Jaime Luis Huenún. He teaches at the University of Illinois at Chicago and is a Lit & Luz Artistic Director.

Daniel Borzutzky es autor de Written After a Massacre in the Year 2018 (Coffee House Press), libro seleccionado para el Lit & Luz Book Club 2021. Entre sus obras se encuentran diversos libros de poesía como El libro de los cuerpos que interfieren, In the Murmurs of the Rotten Carcass Economy, The Performance of Becoming Human, ganador del National Book Award en 2016, y de Lake Michigan, libro finalista del premio internacional de poesía Griffin International Poetry Prize 2019. Su traducción de Valdivia de Galo Ghigliotto recibió el National Translation Award. También ha traducido libros de poetas chilenos como Raúl Zurita y Jaime Luis Huenún. Actualmente da clases en la Universidad de Illinois en Chicago y es uno de los directores artísticos de Lit & Luz.
