Paula Abramo (Mexico City, 1980) is a translator of Portuguese and author of the collection of poetry Fiat Lux (FETA, 2012). Abramo won the College of Mexico’s Joaquin Xirau Icaza Poetry Prize in 2013. She was a poetry fellow for the Young Creators program from Mexico’s National Fund for Culture and Arts on two occasions.

Aguillón-Mata is a Mexican writer. Alejandro Albarrán (Mexico City 1985) is a Mexican poet, musician and conceptual artist. He has published Ruido (Mexico City: Bonobos, 2012) and Tengo un Pulmón Que no es el Cielo (FETA, La Ceibita, 2014). He works with textual, visual and sound poetry.

Benjamín Anaya González is a popular guitarist and composer of contemporary fusion. He is also a cultural promoter, editor, writer, photographer, researcher, and teacher at the Mexican Dance Academy of the National Institute of Fine Arts (INBA).

Miguel Calderón creates works from a mashup of vernacular references, employing a variety of medium, including video, photography, sculpture and painting. He is best known for his work titled "Aggressively Mediocre/Mentally Challenged/Fantasy Island (circle one)" which was part of a 1998 exhibit and was bought by Wes Anderson and shown in the film The Royal Tenenbaums. Solo exhibitions include: Miguel Calderon: Color Bleed, Rochester Art Center, Rochester, NY (2012) and Miguel Calderón, solo project, Casa América, Madrid, Spain (2010).
With extensive experience in Mexico and internationally, Candiani is interested in the complex intersection between language systems, sound, and logics of technology. There is some nostalgia for the obsolete in her work, which seeks to make explicit both the discursive content of artifacts, and projections for the future envisioned in the past.
Florencia Castellano is the author of Un ruiseñor completamente blanco and Relieves de dispersión. She edited the anthologies Quedar en lo cantado: Antología de poesía argentina y dominicana and Un libro oscuro: 106 poemas negros. Castellano teaches literature in high school and at the Universidad Di Tella in Buenos Aires.

Álvaro Enrigue (born 1969) is the award winning author of four novels and two books of short stories. In 1996, Enrigue was awarded the prestigious Joaquín Mortiz Prize for his first novel, La muerte de un instalador (Death of an Installation Artist). In 2012 it was selected as one of the key novels of the Mexican 20th century, and anthologized by Mexico's largest publishing house, Fondo de Cultura Económica. He currently teaches at Princeton University.
Luis Felipe Fabre is a poet and critic based in Mexico City. He has published a volume of essays and poetry collections. Recent books of poetry include Poemas de terror y de misterio (2013) and Sor Juana and Other Monsters (2015). The latter was translated by John Pluecker and has been published by Ugly Duckling Presse.

Kamilah Foreman is the Senior Editor at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. and the Fiction Editor for MAKE Magazine. She holds an MA in the Humanities from the University of Chicago.
Dianna Frid is an artist working at the intersection of text and textile. Her sculptures, installations, artists’ books and mixed-media works have been shown nationally and internationally. Born in Mexico City, Frid currently lives in Chicago. She is an Associate Professor in the Art Department at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
Juan Gaitán is the Director of the Tamayo Museum in Mexico City. He has worked on projects on historical modernism and the cultural uses of the public sphere. He was curator of the Eighth Berlin Biennial (2012–14) and worked at the Witte de With Center for Contemporary Art in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.

Dr. Héctor García Chávez holds a PhD from the University of Chicago. He is a Professor of Literature and Cultural Studies, Mexican Cinema and Literature, and Gender Studies and Queer Theory at Loyola University where he also serves as director of the Latin American Interdisciplinary Studies Program.

Paul Giallorenzo is a producer, organizer, co-founder, and director of the art gallery/music venue Elastic, producing hundreds of creative music concerts in Chicago since 2001. Amanda Gutiérrez’s (Mexico City, 1978) artworks often take the form of a dialogue, seeking to consider and, ultimately, to record the experience and memory of immigrants in the process of converting a city or foreign nation into their home. She is currently a PhD candidate in contemporary art studies at the University of Girona.

Duriel E. Harris is the author of two print collections: Drag (2003) and Amnesiac: Poems (2010); as well as Speleology (2011), a video collaboration with artist Scott Rankin. Samantha Hill investigates how memory, location and history intersect within society by collecting oral narratives & personal artifacts. Hill’s current endeavor, the Kinship Project, is an archive of over 150 years of African American family photography, objects and ephemera which she utilizes as the foundation for her installation projects.

Ida y Vuelta’s presentations come from a long tradition of Mexican folk music called Son Jarocho. The genre is a fusion of African, Spanish and Indigenous music and poetry. Ida y Vuelta’s instrumentation is native to the Veracruz region and includes jaranas (8 string small guitars), requinto (lead 4 string guitar), leona (acoustic bass), zapateado (percussive foot tapping) and they also incorporate the cajón (wood peruvian box) and cajita (small peruvian box) for reinforcements.

Adam Levin is the author of the novel The Instructions and the story collection Hot Pink, both published by McSweeney’s. A National Endowment for the Arts fellow, a National Jewish Book Award Finalist, and winner of the 2011 New York Public Library Young Lions Fiction Award, Levin teaches at the University of Iowa Writers’ Workshop.

Rodrigo Márquez Tizano is a writer, editor, and professor. His last book is Yakarta (Sexto Piso, 2016). He teaches at NYU. Tizano is an editor for VICE Mexico and is part of La Dulce Ciencia Ediciones, an editorial imprint dedicated to the world of boxing.

Valerie Mejer Caso, born in Mexico City, is a poet and painter. For her book De Elefante a Elefante, she was awarded the Gerardo Diego International Award for Literary Research by the Spanish Government. She is the author of six books of poetry and five translations. Forthcoming works include an anthology of her poems, Rain of the Future (Action Books, 2013), and a long poem, This Blue Novel (2014).
Jorge Méndez Blake explores the possible connections between literature, visual arts and architecture, fusing different historic and geographical elements, provoking new lectures on the paper of language and history. He has focused his work in the research of the idea of the library, understood as a fragile and contradictory structure.

Jose-Luis Moctezuma was born in San Gabriel, CA. He has lived at different stages in his career in Berkeley, Philadelphia, Seoul, and Chicago. His poetic and critical work has been published in Jacket2, Chicago Review, MAKE Magazine, Cerise Press, FlashPoint Magazine, PALABRA, Hydra Magazine, Berkeley Poetry Review, and elsewhere. He received his B.A. at the University of California, Berkeley in 2005.
Guadalupe Nettel’s many awards include Herralde Novel Prize, Gilberto Owen National Literature Prize, and the Antonin Artaud Prize among others. Her much-acclaimed titles Natural Histories (7 Stories Press, NY) and The Body Where I Was Born (7 Stories Press, NY) have been translated into English. Óscar de Pablo , es un escritor mexicano. En 2011 publicó su primera novela, El hábito de la noche. También en 2015 publicó en forma de folleto el relato historiográfico El capitán Sangrefría–Conversación con el fantasma de Rosendo Gómez Lorenzo.

Julieta Venegas is an American-born Mexican singer, songwriter, instrumentalist and producer, who sings pop-rock in Spanish. She grew up in Tijuana and began studying music at age eight. Venegas plays several instruments including acoustic guitar, accordion, and keyboard. She has won six Latin Grammys and one Grammy Award among other awards.
Stalina Emmanuelle Villarreal is a Mexican and Chicana poet, and a translator. She translated Sor Juana de la Cruz’s Enigmas in 2015. Her work appears in Papeles de Manscupia, among many others. Her visual poetry was exhibited at University of Houston’s Blaffer Art Museum in Spring 2014.

Villoro lives in Mexico City and is a visiting lecturer at Yale and Princeton universities. His most recent work to be translated into English is The Wild Book (Restless, 2017).
